Dawson Miller, of Whitewater, and Amanda Brom, of Jefferson, are among the 49 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater students recognized as Chancellor’s Scholar-Athletes on Thursday at the University Center.
To be recognized as scholar-athletes, student-athletes must have maintained a 3.25 cumulative grade point average or above through the end of the 2014 fall semester. Honorees also must have participated in a varsity sport for three years, must be of senior academic status and must have accumulated at least 90 degree credits.
UW-Whitewater’s 49 Chancellor’s Scholar-Athletes are the most in one year in the history of the program.
Each Scholar-Athlete received a commemorative watch.
Miller is a finance major and Brom is studying physical education.
