Wayne E. Blanke, 62, of Darien, March 11, 2015, at his residence in Janesville.
He was born Dec. 3, 1952, in Elkhorn, to Robert and June (Meyers) Blanke. Following high school, he received his degree as a paralegal. He also was a police officer for the City of Lake Geneva for years and a security officer at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. He served the community of Darien for years on its fire and rescue squad.
He is survived by his children, Timothy, and wife, Becky, of Edgerton, Lindsey Blanke, of Madison, Keith and wife, Melissa, of Woodstock, Ill.; a brother, Kenneth, and wife, Rande Blanke, of Darien; a sister, Betty Blanke, of Sharon; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Toynton Funeral Home in Walworth with the Rev. Ken Markley officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.
