M.A.D. Monday Mission hosting movies tonight, tomorrow
A group of local middle school kids, M.A.D. Monday Mission, are offering two movie nights for the community this weekend: one for families with preschool and elementary aged kids, and one for teenagers.
To keep it affordable, a freewill donation will be accepted at the door and inexpensive food and snacks will be available for purchase at the events, slated Friday and Saturday nights.
The goal behind the movies is to help the group bring “an amazing service project to our community – Do Something MobilePack 2016.” For every 22 cents raised another meal for a starving child will be packaged at next year’s food packaging event.
From 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, family movie night will be held. From 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday, a movie night for teenagers is slated. Both events will take place at the Congregational UCC church, 133 S Franklin St, Whitewater.
