Donald Robert Boviall, 89, of Walworth, died Jan. 21, 2015, at his home in Walworth.
He was born April 24, 1925, in Darien to Joseph Boviall and Mary Jane McCarthy.
He attended Darien Elementary School through eighth grade. At the age of 18, he enlisted in the Army and served during World War II. He was part of a group known as the Merills Marauders, which was part of the China, Burma, India theater. Upon his return, he was the purchasing manager at Isle Co. in Walworth for 42 years. He was also on the police department for 14 years.
He is survived by his wife, Delores, “Dee,” whom he married March 16, 1946, in Walworth; his daughters, Wendy (Lawrence) Gaudette and Donna (Fiance Rich Studnicka) Grace; granddaughters Michelle (Dion) Maynard and Rachelle (Kelly) Heger; four great-grandchildren BethAnne Grace, Brianna French, Rabecka French and Daltyn Maynard; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; two sisters; two sons-in-law; and two great-grandsons.
Burial was in Walworth Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a military charity of the donor’s choice.
