Carrie A. Schuknecht, 39, of Darien, died Sept. 3, 2014, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. She was born on Oct. 26, 1974, in Harvard, Ill., to Gary and Michele (McKay) Sisk.
She married Joel Schuknecht on Nov. 15, 1995, in Darien. She taught business education at Delavan-Darien High School for four years. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She was an active member of Harvestpoint Church and active in after-school activities.
She is survived by her husband, Joel, of Darien; their two children, Xander and Zoe; her parents, Gary and Michele; one brother, Levi (Melissa) Sisk of Darien; one sister, Emily (Alex) Valadez. of Delavan; eight nieces and nephews; and a half-brother, Jason Wiedenhoeft. She was preceded in deather by her two grandfathers, Gene Sisk and John McKay; her grandparents, Donald and Charlotte Beardsley; her grandmother, Ada (Cliffton) Herron; and her great-grandmother, Violet Sisk.
Memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Monday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan with the Rev. Gary Sisk officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church. Monroe Funeral Home is assisting the family.
