Lions event offers plenty of ways to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend
Locals will ring in the nation’s birthday this week with the East Troy Lions Club Fourth of July Celebration. The Lions are bringing back the Independence Day staple to the East Troy community for the 77th year.
The event will start on Thursday, July 3, and run through Sunday, July 6, at the East Troy Amusement Park, 3072 Graydon Ave., next to the East Troy Lions Public Library.
All four days will feature multiple food stands, a carnival and the largest beer tent in the area with live entertainment every night. There will be a huge fireworks display at dark on Saturday, July 5.
The carnival will have three wristband days on Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Carnival wristbands are available for $14 in advance at Gus’s Drive-In, 3131 Main St. or $16 at the festival. Megabands (for unlimited rides during operating times) are available for $40 in advance and $50 at the festival.
