The East Troy High School girls soccer team was looking to end a road trip with a victory and a winning record.

Unfortunately it ended with a loss that marked the start of a three-game skid for East Troy. The Trojans were even at 1-1, after being on each side of 1-0 decisions to start the 2014 season. On April 10, they fell below the .500 mark with a shutout loss to Evansville, 3-0.

But the loss was followed by a pair of home games and East Troy tried to pick-up two Rock Valley Conference wins while reaching a winning record. However, Whitewater put a stop to that effort by beating the Trojans 5-2, April 14.

Brianna Casper scored both East Troy goals and Monica Zoelner had an assist, but it wasn’t nearly enough to keep pace with Whitewater, which earned its second conference win.

Zoelner scored her own goal in the following game, April 17, against McFarland; but the Trojans lost another RVC game, 2-1.
