DIANA M. GORZALSKI

Diana M. Gorzalski, 73, of Elkhorn, was born to Eternal Life on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 21, 1940 the daughter of Anthony and Rose (nee Kobach) Stelzner.

Diana grew up in East Troy and was a longtime member parishioner of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in East Troy and was currently a member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Elkhorn.

Diana and her husband were beekeepers and owned Touch of Gold Honey in East Troy. She also worked as an administrative assistant for the 440th Airlift Wing in Milwaukee until her retirement.

Diana’s family says she knew the power of laughter; she was a healer and self-sustainer, enjoyed being in the woods and finding herbs. Diana will always be remembered a kind, loving and caring, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She will be sadly missed by her son Anthony “Tony” (Meghan Dryw), of Waukesha, and her precious granddaughter Maddie Grace Gorzalski.

She is further survived by her brothers, Charles (Kathie) Stelzner of Viola, Stephen (Theresa) Stelzner of Maryland and Mark (Cindy) Stelzner of Virginia along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie J. Gorzalski on Feb. 18, 2006, and her parents.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff and nurses of the second floor and the ICU at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for their kindness and compassion

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 9 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Catholic Church, 225 S. Hartwell Ave. (corner of Hartwell and Newhall avenues), Waukesha. The Rev. Howard Haase will preside.

Interment will take place at noon on Thursday, May 1, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. Guests should meet at the cemetery chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to charity of the donor’s choice.
