The City of Lake Geneva will have one contested race for its Common Council in April.

Alderman Bill Mott filed a notice of non-candidacy for his Third District aldermanic seat. Bob Kordus and Richard E. Peterson have filed papers to run for that seat.

First District alderman Gary Hougen also indicated he will not seek re-election. Elizabeth Chappell has filed papers to run for that seat uncontested.

Also up for election on the April 1 ballot – all non-contested – are Mayor Jim Connors, City Attorney Dan Draper, Second District Alderman Jeff Wall and Fourth District Alderman Sarah Hill.

Genoa City

The Village of Genoa City will have no contested races but one new face.

Trustee Karen Bullock filed a notice of non-candidacy. Three candidates – incumbents Kenneth Parker and Eric Boxer and newcomer Cheri Borowiec – will seek election to three at-large seats.
