Sharon woman, two family members die in crash

A Sharon woman and two members of her family died after the car she was driving collided with a truck in the Town of Bradford in Rock County at about 10:20 a.m. Saturday.

Talia S. Enciso, 18, of Sharon, and two family members – Alvino Ortiz, 43, and a 7-year-old child – died in the crash on Highway 140 at highways 11/14. A 14-year-old girl who was in the car Enciso was driving was initially reported dead but survived the crash and improved to stable condition at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison.

The 2009 Honda Enciso was driving north on Highway 14 failed to yield the right of way from the stop sign at eastbound 11/14, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Department. The car entered the intersection and was struck by an eastbound 2005 Dodge Ram pulling a travel trailer.

The driver of the Ram, Timothy S. Votow, 43, and passenger Sheri L. Votow, 42, of Janesville, were uninjured.
