The Elkhorn Area High School girls volleyball team is 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the Southern Lakes Conference in dual meets after defeating Delavan-Darien 3-0 Aug. 30 at home.

The Elks won 25-21, 25-19, 25-22 in sets.

“We started off pretty strong and got off to a big lead in the first game, but then we relaxed a little bit and opened the door to let Delavan come back a little,” coach Amber Pedersen said. “All 3 games were closer than we would have liked.”

Maggie McGraw led the Elks in kills (13) and aces (4). Ali Flasch paced Elkhorn with 18 assists and Allyson Reeves led with 20 digs.

“(We’re) looking forward to next week,” Pedersen said. “We are going to have to clean up the serve/ receiving in order to continue to win.”

Elkhorn plays today in a Southern Lakes Conference dual meet at home against Waterford. The Elks play host Saturday to Lake Geneva Badger, Williams Bay Faith Christian, Beloit Memorial, Janesville Craig, Beloit Turner and Williams Bay at Elkhorn High School in their own Elkhorn Invitational.
