GLAA announces exhibit winners

The winners for the Geneva Lake Art Association’s fall exhibit, “Through My Eyes – the People’s Choice” have been decided.

Visitors to the exhibit voted for their favorite works of art in seven categories. Voting ended Sept. 23, and awards were presented at the association’s annual meeting Sept. 26.

The winners are:

• Oil paint – Mary Abbott, first; Erika Moen, second; and Ken Cottingham, honorable mention;

• Acrylic – Donna Watson, first; Nancy Newcomb, second place; and Sybil Klug, honorable mention;

      • Watercolor – Patricia Ogren, first; Marilyn Ahler, second; and Kay Meyer, honorable mention;

      • Photography or digital art – Russ Hannula, first; Lester Crisman, second; and Russ Hannula, honorable mention;

• Pastel, pencil or pen winners – Donald Krohn, first; Allison Conway, second; and Erika Moen, honorable mention;

• Mixed media – Mickey Fielitz, first; Pam Ring, second; and Nikki Marscicano honorable mention;

• Three-dimensional art – Russ Hannula, first and second; and Pam Ring, honorable mention.

The gallery is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. The exhibition will continue through Nov. 24 at 647 Main Street, in the North Shore Pavilion.
