After a disappointing loss Sept. 26 to McFarland, the Whitewater High School boys soccer team got back on the winning track Monday with a 4-1 win at Big Foot.

The Whippet boys got goals from three different players, and also played well defensively without injured senior Caleb Hintz.

Xhanatan Shahollari, off an assist from Jake Reimer, scored just six minutes into the game to put Whitewater up 1-0. Shahollari returned the favor 20 minutes later when Reimer scored.

Big Foot got its only goal just one minute before the first half ended to make it 2-1 at the half.

In the second half, Reimer scored again, this time in the 56th minute on an assist from Alonso Banda. Mark Cuevas wrapped up the scoring in the 79th minute.

On Sept. 26, the Whippets fell 2-1 at home to McFarland. No further details of that defeat were available.

Whitewater now stands at 11-3-3 overall, and 8-1-0 in the Rock Valley Conference.

Schedule

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 6:45 p.m. Whitewater will host Evansville in another RVC game.

The Whippets will close out the regular season on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 4:45 p.m. at East Troy. That is also an RVC matchup.
