Lake Geneva artist to teach pastels at GLAA

The Geneva Lake Art Association welcomes Lake Geneva artist Harry Quinn as its new pastel instructor.

Quinn has created memorable works of art and graphics for corporate clients, private collectors and regional and local businesses. He has an established reputation as a pastel and oil portrait artist in the Bahamas.

Quinn graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and is the owner of Visual Rhythm Design in Lake Geneva. He teaches drawing, figure drawing, design, illustration and web design classes at the Art Institute of Wisconsin. He is looking forward to working with students within his own community through the GLAA.

He will be teaching “Pastel Fundamentals for Beginners and Above.” Classes began Tuesday will continue for the next three Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon and the next four Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.

Cost for each four-week session is $120. A starter kit of 12 chalks will be required for class and are available at the Lake Geneva Art Supplies Store, 516 Broad St. Registration is required. Call 248-7409. All classes are held at the GLAA gallery in the North Shore Pavilion at 647 W. Main St. in Lake Geneva.
