Lake Geneva police were still searching Monday for a man who robbed Associated Bank in Lake Geneva last week.

The bank at 100 E. Geneva Square was robbed at 5:52 p.m. July 19, said Lake Geneva Police Chief Michael S. Rasmussen.

The suspect was described as a white man wearing a grey baseball cap, glasses, tan shirt, blue jeans and light colored shoes. The suspect wore a white mask around the lower half of his face. The clerk described the suspect as having a trimmed beard, stocky build, 5-feet-9-inches to 6-feet-1-inch tall, 230 to 265 pounds and 45 to 55 years old. The suspect did not have a weapon and passed the teller a note. The suspect fled the bank on foot and left north from the parking lot in a red vehicle. The suspect made off with an undetermined amount of money, and the case is still under investigation.

“We don’t have anyone in custody but are following up every Crime Stoppers lead,” Rasmussen said.

The bank robbery is the third in Lake Geneva this year, Rasmussen said. Joshua M. Barrigar, 31, was apprehended in connection with the other two robberies at PNC Bank and Chase Bank.

Associated Bank declined to comment on the case.
