Five Warhawks earn preseason All-America honors

Minette adds D3football honors to list of accomplishments

Tyler Huber, of Mukwonago, has been named USA College Football Division III Preseason First Team All-American. Teammates Cole Klotz, Elm Grove; Louissaint Minett, Whitewater; Kyle Wismer, Spring Grove, Ill.; and Eric Kindler, Germantown, added honorable mention preseason honors. Minett added D3football.com second team honors Tuesday.

Huber, a wide receiver who was injured during the 2012 season, is one of the team captains for the 2013 season. He was named a 2012 USA College Football Preseason All-American and D3football.com Second Team Preseason All-American. Huber added First Team All-WIAC recognition in 2011. He is second in the record books in season receiving yards, fourth in career receiving receptions and tenth in season receiving touchdowns.

Minett, a defensive lineman and honorable mention selection for USA College Football, was also named to the Sporting News DIII Preseason All-America team earlier this summer. He was named 2012 First Team All-WIAC. During the 2012 season, Minett earned two UW-Whitewater Walmart Player of the Week honors and one WIAC Player of the Week honor. Minett was credited with 13 solo and 10 assisted tackles during the 2012 season. He was named the Most Outstanding Defensive Player at the 2011 Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl.

Klotz, a linebacker and honorable mention pick, is also a 2013 team captain. Last season, Klotz earned UW-Whitewater Walmart Player of the Week honors twice. During the 2012 season, Klotz was credited with 63 tackles earning him Second Team All-WIAC honors.

Wismer recorded 24 solo and 18 assisted tackles along with 6 sacks and one interception from the linebacker position in 2012. He earned 2012 First Team All-WIAC as a junior last season.

Kindler, a Sporting News DIII Preseason All-America and USA College Football Preseason pick, returns as the Warhawks’ kicker this season. He earned First Team All-WIAC honors last season adding both UW-Whitewater Walmart and WIAC Player of the Week recognition twice. During the 2012 season Kindler made 17 of 25 field goals, punted 28 times for a total of 1,169 yards, and kicked off 54 times for 531 yards.

The Warhawks will kick off the 2013 season in Perkins Stadium against Washington University-St. Louis. Kick off is set for noon.
