The 16th annual Charity Golf Event for Bethel House on June 8 was a sure sign that summer has finally arrived in Whitewater.

This year’s event was held at the Whitewater Country Club on a day perfect for golfing and $13,600 was raised for Bethel House.

The winning foursomes were: first place – Kat Mawhinney, Nate Parrish, Pat Miller, Jim Boyd; fourth place – John Sortiros, Jeff Smith, Jim Hansen, Mike Thiele; seventh place – Betty McManaway, Ray McManaway, Myron Seaver, Chris Seaver; 11th place – Roni Telfer, Dick Telfer, Charles Barr, Jo Bernhardt.

Golfers applauded for their memorable golfing performances included Anne Fellows and Pat Miller (longest drive), Germaine Olm and Patrick Singer (shortest drive), Evelyn Schneider and Tim Zuehlke (longest putt), Kat Mawhinney (closest second shot) and Pat Miller (closest to the pin).

The success of the Golf Event, a major fundraiser for Bethel House, depends on many individual and business sponsors from throughout the Whitewater Community.
