Corn and brat roast and community-wide rummage to span weekend

The East Troy Area Chamber of Commerce will host its 37th annual Memorial Weekend Corn and Brat Roast May 25-27 on the East Troy Village Square.

The event, featuring roasted sweet corn, brats, hot dogs, burgers, soda and beer, as well as live entertainment, will run 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Monday.

The following entertainment lineup will take place rain or shine, with no cover charge:

Saturday, May 25

Noon-1:30 p.m. Terry Murphy and Jeff Peterson

2-6 p.m. KR Bluegrass Band

Sunday, May 26

Noon-1:30 p.m. The Poor Boys

2-6 p.m. Depot People

Monday, May 27

1-5 p.m. Smooth Blues

The weekend events also include the Chamber’s 22nd annual community-wide rummage sale from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A listing of all rummage sales will be posted on the Chamber’s website at www.easttroywi.org.

Goodwill will provide a truck to collect leftover rummage sale items and other contributions from the community on from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, May 26 in front of Martin’s Hardware, Rental & Pet in the Village Marketplace parking lot, 3288 Main St.

Gently used household and clothing items, including electronics, can be donated to Goodwill. For safety reasons, weapons, hazardous materials and large household appliances cannot be accepted. A donation receipt will be provided for contributions.
