LENORE H. PETERSON

Lenore Hazel Peterson, 86, of Delavan, died Monday April 15, 2013, at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn. She was born Jan. 10, 1927, in Mondovi, the daughter of Lyman and Agnus (Thorson) Franzwa.

She married Ned Peterson on Dec. 2, 1950; he preceded her in death on June 30, 1983.

She was employed as a beautician at Delavan area salons for many years, then in the Racine area before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, where her and husband Ned were very active members.

Survivors include her daughter, Jane Wendt, Green Bay; sons, Mark Peterson, Beloit, Steven (Diane) Peterson, Longmont, Colo., and Thomas (Annabel) Peterson, Birmingham, England; grandchildren, Terri Thompson, Doug Jarrett, Becky DuBois, Zachary Wendt, Miranda Wendt and Nathan Peterson; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Wittwer, Marlene Qualle, and Nevada Franz; brother, Lyman Franzwa Jr. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.

She was further preceded in death by her parents; stepmother; grandchildren, Lisa Peterson and Cameron Wendt; one sister and two brothers.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. on Friday May 3, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 416 W Geneva St., Delavan. The Rev. Robert P. Rickman will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, at the Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave., Delavan. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Memorials may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
