The Village of Sharon has a great new website to keep residents and visitors informed of Sharon happenings: www.villageofsharon.com.

On the new website, residents can find the village calendar of events, election information and form and permits to make doing business with the village easier.

Under the “Local Links” tab, readers can find all the important local government websites they might need.

The website allows the local government, elected and non-elected, to communicate better with residents. Under the notices tab, there will be notifications that are important to residents. Citizens can find meeting minutes, governmental contacts and listing of Board and committee members.

Under the “Sharon Cycling” tab, cyclists and residents can find maps and guides to the new Sharon Cycling Series. This new village recreational opportunity, created with the assistance of Lon Haldeman, is expected to be a major draw to the village.

The “Village Contacts” page is residents’ single stop to access to all the village’s departments.

“This is a great beginning to expanding our communication with residents. Providing an additional avenue for residents to find out information, print forms, rent facilities, search for a bike path, or answer their questions saves time,” said Board President Diana Dykstra.
