Studio 84 garden party set for Saturday

Deborah Blackwell, director of Studio 84, shows off a few of the pieces of art that will be up for auction at Studio 84’s Gala Night “A Garden Party” on March 30. Artwork includes (from left) Michael Robers piece inspired by Van Gogh’s Irises; “Poppy Study” by Bethann Moran, UW-Whitewater art professor; and works by Stasia Wilson, a Whitewater resident and UW-Whitewater alumni and Sharon Peterson from Delafield.

Studio 84 will hold its third annual gala night with “A Garden Party” theme from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 30.

The free event will feature art and music, a silent art auction, a buffet, raffle items and cupcakes from the SweetSpot of Whitewater.

Rebecca Fincutter and Becky Schultz, a viola and violin duet, will perform.

The art exhibit will include art from students of Studio 84, as well as donated pieces for the silent auction.

The silent auction of art inspired by flowers includes local artists, university professors and artists as far as California and Montana.

Attendees can become a friend of Studio 84 by making a donation and receive up to seven tickets for the Gala night raffle.

Studio 84 is located at 121 W. Center St. in Whitewater.
