Walworth Photographer to speak at art meeting

Les Criman’s “Rushing Waters.”

Local photographer and Geneva Lake Art Association member Les Crisman of Walworth will be the guest presenter at the March members meeting on Thursday, March 28, at 7 p.m. in the GLAA Gallery.

Crisman will discuss basic digital photography, camera settings and techniques used to capture images in his own award-winning photography.

Crisman photographs images from nature, animals, abstract subjects or whatever catches his eye at the moment.

His photographs have been published in Wisconsin Trails, Farm & Ranch Living and Keefe Real Estate magazines, as well as in local newspapers and appearances on local television weather channels.

Crisman has won the following awards this past year: Best in Show at the Walworth County Fair in Elkhorn, State Exhibit Awards at both regional and state shows with the Wisconsin Regional Art Alliance in Whitewater, Janesville and Madison.

Crisman also exhibits his photographs at the Geneva Lake Art Association gallery and has been chosen Artist of the Month at outside exhibits sponsored by GLAA at the Lake Geneva Public Library, BMO Harris Bank and Talmer Bank, both in Lake Geneva.

He also exhibits in the GLAA Members tent at Art in the Park as well as monthly exhibits at the Starline Art Gallery in Harvard, Ill.

Geneva Lake Art Association members, their guests and prospective members are welcome to attend the meetings. Light refreshments will be served.
