Join the Cupcake Wars

Individuals interested in joining the Expo’s Cupcake Wars should make 18 cupcakes (a dozen for display/silent auction fundraiser and six for judging) with a design using the theme, “Spring into East Troy!”

Entries should be brought to the Expo between 9-10 a.m. on March 23 at East Troy Middle School.

Entries will be displayed with the others in the auditorium and those visiting the Expo will cast a vote for their favorite using a special coin that they will receive at the door. The winner of the popular vote will receive the Fan Favorite award.

A panel of celebrity judges from East Troy’s dining establishments will evaluate the entries from 1-2 p.m. on the auditorium stage. The judges will rate the cupcakes on taste, creativity and theme. The winners of the youth (ages 17 and younger) and adult divisions will each receive a trophy, an apron and the title of East Troy Expo 2013 Cupcake Wars Champion.

A silent auction for the cupcake entries will be held throughout the day. Bidding will close at 2:30 p.m. for the awards ceremony. Proceeds will benefit Chamber programs and events.
