Audiences in southern Wisconsin will once again have the opportunity to experience the nationally acclaimed production of The Rock & The Rabbi, a musical that tells the story of the friendship between the Apostle Peter and Jesus.

The production arrives in southern Wisconsin just in time for the week preceding Easter and will be featured at four venues for five performances beginning March 24.

Veteran’s Terrace in Burlington hosts the first performance on Sunday, March 24, and New Life Assembly of God in Janesville hosts the second performance on Wednesday, March 27.

The production then moves to Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan on Thursday, March, 28, and Friday, March 29, with the option of a dinner-theater package.

The final performance will be at Calvary Community Church in Williams Bay with two performances on Saturday, March 30th.

The Rock & The Rabbi began in the Tampa Bay area in 1998 and has entertained audiences across the nation, including multiple performances at the Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson.

The creative team of Danny Hamilton (music and lyrics) and Gary Richardson (book and script) bring The Rock & The Rabbi to life, featuring Richardson as the Storyteller and Nashville recording artists David Wise as the Rock and Jason Eskridge as the Rabbi.

A newly formed, local non-profit organization called Transformative Arts Inc. is behind The Rock & the Rabbi’s return to this area. Transformative Arts is comprised of a group of local businesspeople who have a desire to bring the very best in Christian arts entertainment to southern Wisconsin communities, according to a news release.

For Transformative Arts Inc., The Rock & The Rabbi is the first in a series of world-class productions they hope to bring to southern Wisconsin. Local businesses and individuals have underwritten a significant portion of the production costs to bring it to our area.
