DANIEL F. STIGLITZ

Daniel Franklin Stiglitz, 64, U.S. Marine Corps veteran, passed away peacefully Dec. 15, 2022, surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Milwaukee Jan. 19, 1958, to the late Robert A. and Marjorie J. Chase Stiglitz.

Dan enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1975 and graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1976. His military service included nuclear missile transportation and missions in Japan, Granada and Australia. Post-military, he built a towing business around his passion for auto mechanics.

More recently, Dan founded the Wisconsin Military Show in 2018, for military enthusiasts, which features vendors, re-enactors and local politicians.

He was a skilled “wheeler and dealer,” “jack of all trades” and fiercely loyal friend.

His memories are preserved through his wife, Debbie,; son, Robert (Brea); daughter, Danielle; children from previous marriage, Michael and Stephanie; stepchildren, Danya Thompson (Laura Sercombe) and Katrice Babiasz (Brian); grandchildren, Jackson, Brian III, Brooklynn and Maeve.

He is further survived by his sister, Laurie Phipps (David); brother, John; aunt, Mary Ann; nieces and nephews and furry companion, Maynerd III.

He was further preceded in death by his brothers, Michael, Robert and David.

A celebration of life will be at noon Friday, Jan. 13, at St. James Methodist Church, 2945 Main St., East Troy. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church

A brief graveside service and interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in East Troy.
