Billy “Bill” B. Hart, 94, of Delavan, passed away on Dec. 6, 2022, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn.
He was born on Nov. 11, 1928, in Richland Center to Emil and Lenore (Burns) Hart. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received multiple Purple Hearts.
Bill was united in marriage to Barbara Kastner on Aug. 23, 1952, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan. He was a member of Delavan Post 95, Delavan Lions Club, and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Bill loved his Corvair and took it to many shows.
Bill is survived by his wife of 70 years, Barbara; a daughter, Becky (Jerry) Rudella, of Greendale; two sons, Brian (Joan) Hart, of Bellevue, Iowa, and Bret (Jody) Hart, of Delavan; five grandchildren, Emily (Koichiro Ikeda) Hart, Zachary (Kate Walter) Hart, Alex (Monica) Hart, Gina (Bill) Doyle, and Gavin (Mary Hull) Hart; three great grandchildren, Theodore, Eleanor, and Grace; sister-in-laws, Shirley Hart and Patsy Isaacson; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Robert, Charlotte, Floyd, and Twyla.
Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 9 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 416 W. Geneva Street in Delavan. Memorials can be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with School. Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan is assisting the family.
