CAROL B. BUCKETT

Carol Buckett

Carol B. Buckett, 77, of East Troy, passed away peacefully Aug. 9, 2022, at AngelsGrace Hospice in Oconomowoc.

She graduated as a licensed practical nurse from Waukesha County Technical College in 1982. She worked most of her career at Linden Grove Nursing Home in Waukesha and Holton Manor in Elkhorn before she retired. She had a wonderful passion of taking care of people.

Her favorite hobbies were reading books, working on puzzles, playing board games (when her kids were younger) and simply spending time playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She loved to go fishing while camping at Stateline Lake, Presque Isle. As most of her family would gather at the campsite for the annual summer vacation, Carol and her husband, Buz, would make their way to the lake for a night of fishing. Once back from fishing, she spent many hours playing cards with her family. The memories that were created were truly a blessing.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Harold “Buz” Jr.; sons, Michael Melcher, Steven Melcher, Todd (Robin) Melcher, Charles (Kathleen); daughter, Stacy (Chris) Redel; grandchildren, Kayla (Ian) Schrank, James Redel, Ryan Redel, Rebekah (Patrick) Jacunski, Heather (Anthony) Pulcini, and Steven Melcher Jr.; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Colton, Nova, Nikolai and Tally; step-children, Harold III (Laurie), Mary England (Darrell), John (Becky), Douglas (Debra), 10 step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Kearns, Tom (Mary) Tenant and Warren (Cindy) Schlei; along with nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence (Pat) Tenant and Mildred (Edward) Schlei; and her siblings, Trudy Blake, Patrick Tenant and Larry Tenant.

As Carol will be missed by all, her wishes were not to have a funeral service but a celebration of life instead. The celebration will be held at a private residence on Sept. 17. Reach out to a family member for more information.

Legacy Funeral Services, East Troy, had the honor of serving the family.
