Ronald Knudsen

Ronald “Ron” Edward Knudsen, 64, of Williamson, Georgia, passed away May 4, 2022, at his home. He was born June 7, 1957, in Milwaukee and grew up in East Troy.

Ron worked as an aviation technician at Delta Airlines for 42 years. He and his family moved from Crystal Lake, Illinois, to Williamson in 2009. He enjoyed woodworking, riding motorcycles, and rebuilding airplanes.

In recent years, Ron helped restore the Douglas DC-7B that is now on display at the Delta Flight Museum in Atlanta. He also had a pilot’s license and flew small aircraft.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy; son, Eric (Rebekah); daughter, Aubrey Dixon (Brian); grandchildren, Finn and Zoey Knudsen, and Hunter Dixon; parents, Ervin and Geraldine Knudsen; brother, Russell Knudsen (Brigid); nephews and nieces, Kyle, Taryn, Connor, Ryan and Clare Knudsen.

Funeral services were May 10 in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home in Zebulon, Georgia. Burial followed in Fincher Memorial Cemetery in Meansville, Georgia.
