VERNON L. KILROY

Vernon L. Kilroy, 78, of Delavan passed away Feb. 16 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. He was born May 24, 1934 in Rock Falls, Ill., to the late Joseph and Ina (Harrington) Kilroy. Vernon was united in marriage to Jacqueline Weber in Elkhorn on April 3, 1980. He was employed as a leadman at Woodstock Dye Cast in Woodstock Ill., then at Farm City Elevator in Darien before retiring. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran serving with the 82nd Air Borne.
He is survived by his wife Jacqueline of Delavan; daughters, Shelly (Brian) Guzman of Delavan and Jackie Conners of Gay Mills; son, Terry (Della); six grandchildren; sister, Margarite Jung and brothers, Marlyn (Shirley) and Henry (Donna). He was further preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Feb. 21 at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan with the Rev. Mike Ida officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Lake Geneva.
