Incumbents garner strong support in Town of East Troy primary

Town of East Troy Chairman Joe Klarkowski and Supervisor Barb Church each received the highest vote counts in Tuesday’s primary election for the chairman and supervisor races.

The township board is increasing from three members to five members this year and Klarkowski was challenged by John J. Jacoby and Steven Reisinger for the chairman’s seat. Jacoby, who is also running for town supervisor, and Klarkowski will face off in the April 6 spring election for the chairman seat.

The unofficial vote totals for the Town of East Troy chairman primary are:

Supervisor race

In the Town of East Troy supervisor primary, which had 10 candidates for the eight slots in the April election, Supervisor Barb Church led the pack with 334 votes.

Andy Szymanskyj and William Wucherer had the two bottom vote counts and will not move on to the spring election.
