The Village of Walworth’s Interested Citizens Committee will host a meet-and-greet in the Walworth Village Square at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 28.
The committee, which has been in existence for six or seven years, consists of retired residents who are interested in village, county and state government.
Interested Citizens has invited anyone who plays an important in the village, including representatives from the village board, fire department, police department, schools, library board and area elected officials to attend Sunday’s meeting.
“We aren’t sure how many of the people we’ve invited will come,” co-organizer Kelly Freeman said. “There is a tremendous number of things to talk about if only people will come.”
