GRACE V. HEALEY

Grace Healey

Grace Virginia Healey, 100, of East Troy, died peacefully May 26, 2020, surrounded by her family, six days before her 101st birthday.

Grace and her husband, Cliff, farmed from 1941 to 1974 on Highway G in East Troy.

She enjoyed being a nanny for room and board in Mukwonago while attending Mukwonago High School.

Grace always talked fondly about working with her sister, Beulah, at the Masonic Home in Wales. She worked her last 10 years at ARC Milk Testing Cooperative in East Troy and Whitewater. Her hard work ethic was then dedicated to 10 years volunteering as a reading aide within the East Troy School District.

She was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Mukwonago, in honor of her brother, Donald.

Her legacy of unconditional love for family, especially special nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors, caregivers, came full circle by those who have shown her unending support, friendship, love, and care. She loved being “surrogate” Grandma to the Bernard Price families.

She is survived by her sister, Beulah Leake, Riverside, California; brother, Delbert (Marge) Bernau, West Allis; daughter, Donna (John) Price, who welcomed her into their home in 2012; grandchildren, Cliff (Sarah) River Falls, John (Carrie) Ojo, New Mexico; great-grandchildren, Simon, Elizah, Orly and Asaph, all of River Falls; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clifford Thayer Healey; infant son, Chris; parents, Henry and Emma Bernau; seven of her brothers and sisters, and countless relatives and friends.

A family graveside service will be held at Oakridge Cemetery.

Legacy Funeral Services, East Troy, has the honor of serving the family.
