Work begins along Highway 120

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation was tentatively scheduled to begin work this week along Highway 120, between Highway 36 and the Como Creek Bridge in the Town of Lyons and Walworth County.

The proposed improvements include:

  • Resurfacing 1.33 miles of Highway 120 and deck overlay of Ore Creek Bridge;
  • Geometric improvements to the intersection of Highway 120 and Krueger Road/Buckby Road;
  • Pedestrian accommodations implemented to improve accessibility; along with
  • Signing and pavement markings.

What to expect

Work will be conducted under traffic with the use of flagging. Access to through traffic will be maintained throughout construction.

The contractor, Payne and Dolan Inc., plans on completing the $1.4 million project by late summer 2020. This tentative work schedule is subject to change.
