An arrest warrant remains out for a man charged with sexually assaulting his nieces in the Village of Bloomfield in 2013.

A warrant was issued Sept. 11, 2018, for the arrest of a man charged with 24 counts of sexual assault of his 10- and 14-year-old nieces.

The man, 32, who is not being named here to protect the identity of his nieces, was charged Sept. 11, 2018, in Walworth County Circuit Court with six counts each of sexual assault of a child under 16 years of age and incest for alleged assaults of his now-14-year-old niece; and first-degree sexual assault of a child under age 12, five counts of first-degree sexual assault, contact with a child under age 13, and six counts of incest for alleged assaults of his now-10-year-old niece.

Each count of assault against the 10-year-old girl carries a maximum sentence of 60 years and each count of assault against the 14-year-old and each count of incest carries a maximum sentence of 40 years for a total maximum sentence of 1,080 years in prison if convicted on all counts.

According to the criminal complaint, the man’s brother-in-law told police Aug. 28, 2018, that his daughters had just revealed to him that their uncle, who lived with the family, had molested them. The girls’ father told the man he had to move out of the home, and he immediately packed up and left, according to the complaint.

Forensic interviews were conducted Aug. 29, 2018, with each of the girls who reported multiple incidents of assault that took place at their Village of Bloomfield home over the past several years, according to the complaint.

The 14-year-old girl described five different occasions when her uncle sexually assaulted her, according to the complaint.

The 10-year-old girl described incidents that happened when she was in first, second or fourth grade that included various forms of sexual assault, the complaint states.

Both girls said their uncle told them to keep the incidents a secret, according to the complaint.

Police spoke Sept. 4, 2018, to the man’s mother, who said she had not heard from her son since he left his sister’s home Aug. 28, 2018, and had sent him a message telling him to turn himself in but did not know his whereabouts, the complaint states.
