The Town of Delavan Board approved a promissory note financing reallocation in the amount of $175,000 toward the renovation of the Community Park Building that is currently in the design stage.

Administrator John Olson told the board that some decisions by the designers of the building renovation will cost more than the original $1.58 million that was budgeted for the project.

Some items that could be cut from the project include a shed on the west side of the building, an overhang over the patio on the launch side of the building, and mezzanine storage in the garage. All of those items could be added to the building in the future if they are needed.

Olson said the $175,000 will come from funds that had been earmarked for the repaving of parking lots at Town Hall, the police department, the shop, and the highway department.
