Chiefs host Columbus in hoops doubleheader

A huge first half was more than enough for the Big Foot girls basketball team Monday night.

Playing in a girls/boys home doubleheader against Columbus, the Chiefs rolled to a 39-15 lead by intermission en route to a 62-46 non-conference victory.

The win improved Big Foot to 4-4 overall.

Reagan Courier led the way with 18 points, followed by Lindsey Paulsen with 15 and Viola Larson with 11.

Big Foot takes its 3-3 Rock Valley Conference record into a 7:15 p.m. road contest Friday night at Clinton. The Cougars enter the game at 7-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play, just one game behind RVC-leading Evansville’s 6-0.
