Geographically speaking

Whitewater Middle School hosted a schoolwide National Geographic Geography Bee on Dec. 18. Emerson Ellenwood, son of Christian Ellenwood and Elisabeth Duessen won the event for a second consecutive year and could win a $50,000 college scholarship at the state competition. Henry Gehrenbeck, son of Robert and Sarah Gehrenbeck, earned second place; Lucien Pomazak, son of Mark and Anita Pomazak, finished in third; and fourth place went to Quinton O’Toole, son of Tim and Mindy O’Toole.
