A guide to holiday giving in East Troy

Donate to help local families in need

Holiday Help of East Troy is now accepting donations at various locations until the middle of December.

Holiday Help of East Troy donations begin today. The annual program has donation locations local businesses and organizations for different needs.

Giving trees to purchase gifts for local children will be open until Dec. 8 at East Troy Bible Church, Good Shepherd Church, Realty Executives Integrity on the Square and St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

A giving tree to purchase gifts for residents of East Troy Manor will be at Associated Bank in East Troy until Dec. 19.

The following collection will take place until Dec. 9

  • Toy collection barrels for the East Troy Lion’s Club NEW Toy Drive will be located at Citizens Bank, Dollar General, First Citizens State Bank and Frank’s Piggly Wiggly East Troy.
  • The East Troy Lioness will be collecting hats, gloves, socks and slippers at First Citizens State Bank and the bank is collecting pajamas of all sizes.
  • Citizens Bank East Brooke Branch, 2541 E. Main St., will be collecting donations of new children’s through young adult pajamas, socks, underwear, leggings and sweatpants.
  • Wanezek Family Dentistry, 2564 Main St. and Bay View Veterinary Service 890 Main St., Mukwonago, will be general donation sites for new, unwrapped gifts of pajamas/socks and underwear, hygiene products, gift cards/monetary donations and more.
  • Martin’s Hardware Rental and Pet, 3288 Main St., will be collecting four-packs of toilet paper, single or double rolls of paper towel, cleaning supplies, laundry soap and dish soap.
  • The Hive Taproom will be collecting baby items, including diapers/wipes, shampoo/body wash, washcloths/towels, receiving blankets, teething toys, burp cloths, bibs, pacifiers, etc.
  • East Troy Acupuncture will be collecting hygiene items: soaps, lotions, shaving supplies, feminine hygiene products, deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrushes, etc.

Monetary donations to help local families in need can be made to the East Troy Family Community Resource Center (ETFCRC), P.O. Box 962, East Troy, WI 53120. Note that the donation is for the Holiday Help program.

The East Troy Family Community Resource Center is a not for profit registered 501C3     organization. Monetary donations will be accepted through Dec. 31.
