CATHERINE TOMASZEWSKI

Catherine “Cathy” Anne Tomaszewski, née Andrews, 70, of Elkhorn, passed away on March 18, 2019 in Tucson, Ariz.

She was born in Chicago, Ill. to Paul and Catherine Andrews on Jan. 14, 1949. The family moved to Elkhorn in 1958 where Cathy attended St. Patrick’s Grade School and graduated from Elkhorn Area High School in 1967.

Cathy married Dennis Tomaszewski on June 22, 1968 and they were married for 14 years. They welcomed their son Gregory, born on Sept. 9, 1977. Cathy held various clerical positions while living in Elkhorn before moving to Milwaukee in 1990.

While in Milwaukee, Cathy worked at US Industrial Sales as an Office Manager and later at Baptista’s as an Accounting Manager. She was a member of several professional organizations related to business and finance. She also worked as a banquet waitress for several years at Clifford’s Supper Club in Hales Corners.

In 2007, Cathy moved to Tucson, Arizona to enjoy the nicer weather. There she worked for the Rain Bird Corporation and retired in 2016 after several years as the International Credit and Collections Manager.

Cathy was a caring, loving and sweet person who enjoyed being around family and especially children.  While growing up, she would always look forward to family reunions and having cousins visit during the summer. Her hobbies included gardening, growing beautiful house plants, being outdoors, and watching Judge Judy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Catherine Andrews, her infant sister, Paulette, and her husband, Dennis Tomaszewski.

Cathy is survived by her son, Gregory of Tucson, brothers Paul (Patricia) Andrews of Orlando, Fla., Jack (Pat) Andrews of Tucson, Michael (Maria) Andrews of Sheboygan, and sister Mary (Ron) Meyer of Plymouth.

Fr. Oriol Regales will be officiating a private service for Cathy on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Elkhorn.
