County to sponsor showing of ‘Written Off,’ about one man’s journey

The public is invited to join Walworth County Department of Health and Human Services for a free movie in an effort to help people understand the opioid epidemic that is affecting so many families locally and across the country.

The movie, “Written Off,” will be shown at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Geneva Theater, 244 Broad St. in downtown Lake Geneva.

Edwards’ grippingly honest writing chronicles his own descent and addiction in spiral notebooks, meticulously noting every milligram he took, every dollar he spent, and every attempt he made to quit.

Shown around the country, “Written Off” and has won numerous awards at independent film festivals. Find the official trailer and more information about the film at written-off.com.
