Beloit Health System presented award

The Wisconsin Trauma Care System recognized Beloit Health System for its exceptional timeliness of 2018 submissions to the Wisconsin Trauma Registry.

Beloit Health is one of six facilities recognized in the silver category.

“Timely submission of this data provides your trauma program with powerful data in support of improving care to injured patients. Your facility and its talented staff are an exceptional example of dedication to reducing death and disability in Wisconsin through the collection of accurate and complete data,” commented the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. BHS remains the only hospital to receive all three awards for the WI Trauma Registry.

Beloit Health recognizes Karmen Bryer, Clinical Manager, Nursing for her profound achievements. She was awarded the following:

  • Statewide Data Timeliness Excellence Award for Outstanding Trauma Registry Data;
  • Statewide Data Completeness Excellence Award;
  • Statewide Data Quality Excellence Award.

“The BHS Trauma Registry is the foundation of our trauma program. We use the registry to help track places for improvement to assure we are delivering the highest quality of care to all of our trauma patients. It takes a collaborative effort amongst our Emergency Medical Staff, Emergency Department providers and team of nurses to collect accurate information for the registry,” Bryer said.

She said it’s vital that they collect accurate data on their trauma patients.

“The data is used to evaluate clinical outcomes and quality of care in trauma across the state and nationally. It is a great feeling to know that what we do here at BMH for our trauma patients may impact the future of trauma care and injury prevention,” Bryer said.

Beloit Health System is an independent community health system serving northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.
