East Troy High School Co-Principal Kevin Kitslaar announced his resignation at the June 10 School Board meeting, saying he would be taking the job of principal at Waukesha South High School.

Kitslaar was hired three years ago as a co-principal at the high school, working with Co-Principal Stacey Kuehn.

At the board meeting, Kitslaar thanked the board and district administration for their support and the opportunities he’s received in his role at the high school.

“This is the best administrative team I’ve been a part of in my career,” Kitslaar said. “This was not an easy decision.”

Kitslaar expressed deep appreciation for the district as a whole, administration and the School Board and got a little choked up at one point.

“You’re going to be missed,” School District Administrator Chris Hibner said.

The district will hire to replace Kitslaar.
