MARION H. ROBIN

Marion H. Robin, 81, of Lake Tomahawk, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2019, at Lakeshore Assisted Living in Lake Tomahawk.

Marion was born on July 20, 1937, in Milwaukee, the daughter of William and Rose (nee Lorenz) Hays. She married Charles A. Robin Jr. on June 23, 1956. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2018.

Before Chuck and Marion retired to the North Woods, they raised a family in Buffalo Grove, Ill., just outside of Chicago. Marion insisted that life should be adventurous and fun, which led her to participate in every parade, sometimes even dressing as a clown. Family vacations were always packed with activities, including berry picking with actual bears. Birthdays always had a humorous twist; sometimes banners were made so all the town could see.

Marion was actively involved in the Bo-Boen Snowmobile Club and golf leagues in St. Germain. She loved to snowmobile, golf, read, ride pontoon boats and go-karts, paint, knit, garden and travel. Many people in the community and visiting tourists knew her as the “fun lady” that ran the gift shop at the St. Germain Pharmacy.

Her love of life and fun-loving smile were contagious and will always be remembered by the people closest to her. We will miss her dearly.

Marion is survived by her daughters, Heidi (Bruce) Dragoon, Karen (Scott) Tuke and Amy (Gregg) McCaughn; by grandchildren, Caitlin McCaughn, Taylor Tuke, Ryan Dragoon and Brodie McCaughn; and by niece Diane Steinglass and nephews, Gary and Kim Casper.

She was preceded by her husband, Charles; parents, William and Rose Hays; by her sister, Eugenia Casper; and by grandparents, Anton and Cecilia Lorenz and Robert and Roberta Hays.

Memorial services will be on June 29 at 11 a.m. at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, with a memorial gathering from 10 a.m. till time of service.
