Local GOP named ‘Top County’ for 2018

The Republican Party of Walworth County was recognized with the Wisconsin Award May 18 and as one of the top five counties in the state for 2018 at the State Convention of the Republican Party of Wisconsin in Oshkosh.

The RPWC was also selected by the State Party Development Committee as The Top County in Wisconsin for 2018.

“It’s an honor to be selected as one of the top five counties but then to be selected as The Top County is incredible,” Walworth County GOP Chairman Chris Goebel said. “The awards belong to every member and volunteer who helped during 2018. I was fortunate enough to receive the awards on their behalf.”

Along with Walworth County, Kenosha and Racine Counties were also selected as two of the top five counties.

“It is awesome that of the five top counties in the state, three of them came from the 1st Congressional District,” Goebel said.

Goebel offered his congratulations the Racine County Chairperson Lisa Bell and Kenosha County Chairperson Erin Decker. “Those awards are a testimony to the hard work everyone put in in the First District in 2018.”
