MARY D. BRAY

Mary D. Bray, 94, of Delavan, died on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. She was born in Sugar Creek Township on Feb. 9, 1918, to the late John and Ida (Amble) August. She married William Bray on Aug. 22, 1942. She worked for Borg Instruments in Delavan, drove a school bus for Walworth Schools and worked in the cafeteria at Big Foot High School in Walworth until her retirement. She was a member of the Moose Club of Janesville and her hobbies included dancing, Euchre and 500.

She is survived by daughter, Nancy (John) Knapp of Janesville; son, Roger Bray of Delavan; grandchildren, Robert (Jodie) Knapp of Janesville and Brad (Elizabeth) Knapp of Kentucky: twin sister, Marian Morse; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Kevin, Emily and Jonathan and sister in law, Hazel August.

She was further preceded in death by her husband Bill; sisters, Muriel Lindquist and Mabel Timm and brother, Henry August.

Funeral Services were held on Aug. 13 at the First Baptist Church in Delavan. The Rev. Mike Ida officiated. Burial was at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan. Visitation was Aug. 12 at the Monroe Funeral in Delavan.
