To celebrate National Library Week, the Lake Geneva Public Library and the Friends of the Lake Geneva Public Library, will host a “bookface” photo event April 7 to 11.

To take part in the event, stop by the library to take a photo with a library book. Participants can also post their own photos on Instagram and tag @lgpubliclibrary using the hashtags #bookfacecontest and #lakegenevapubliclibrary.

With each unique bookface photo, participants can enter a drawing to win either a new Kindle HD 8 or a Kindle 8 Kids Edition. All ages can enter. Prizes have been provided by the Friends of the Library.

National Library Week is a time to recognize the contributions of the nation’s libraries and library workers and to promote library use and support. From free access to books and online resources for families, to providing educational and entertaining programming, libraries offer opportunity to all.

Anyone interested in joining the Friends should email friends@lakegeneva.lib.wi.us for more information or visit www.lakegeneva.lib.wi.us/about/friends-of-the-library.

The library will be closed Friday, April 12, for staff in-service.
