Badger girls win first meet

The Lake Geneva Badger girls track team won its first meet of the season at the Racine Park invitational on Mar. 14. Badger finished first with 203 points. Racine Case took second with 118, Park finished third with 103.5, Racine St. Catherine’s finished fourth with 19.5, and the Prairie School came in fifth with 15.

First place finishes for the Badgers included the 4×800 meter relay team (11:41.93), Emille Booker in the 55 meter hurdles intermediate (9.26), Ava Trent in the 1,600 meter run (6:15.07), Hope Aryes-Schultz in the 56 meter hurdles low (9.03), Vivian Ford in the 800 meter run (2:37.81), and Macie Todd in the high jump (5-00.00).

Other top finishes for the Badgers included Aryes-Schultz in the 55 meter hurdles intermediate (second, 9.40), Isabella Vitullo in the 55 meter dash (second, 7.82), Booker in the 56 meter hurdles low (second, 9.12), LuAnnabelle Wieseman in the long jump (second, 13-05.75) and triple jump (second, 29-02.50), Colleen Wall in the 400 meter dash (third, 1:11.15), Ellie Wall in the 800 meter run (third, 2:51.66), Jenelle Burke in the high jump (third, 4-10.00), and Alli Oomens in the shot put (third, 27-10.50).

The Badgers will compete at the Waukesha South Invitational on Thursday.
