Candidates Forum slated for Walworth

The Interested Citizens of Walworth group will host a Village of Walworth Candidates Forum two weeks prior to the spring election.

The forum will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., on Tuesday March 19 in the meeting room at the Walworth Memorial Library, 121 Beloit St. in Walworth.

Elizabeth Lochner will serve as moderator at the forum, the purpose of it being to “give the citizens of the Village of Walworth the opportunity to know the candidates running for office,” according to organizers.

The forum is touted as informational, therefore, the candidates will answer written questions but debates of responses will not be allowed.

Candidates on the spring ballot are as follows:

  • Walworth Village President – Tom Connelly Jr., LeRoy Nordmeyer;
  • Walworth Village Trustee – Daniel Mizialko, Kristi Reierson-McWayne, Pat McMahon;
  • Walworth Joint School District #1 Board of Education – Chad Roehl, Suzanne Zillmer;
  • Big Foot High School Board of Education – Edward Hayden;
  • Walworth Village Municipal Judge – John Peterson, Charles Hubertz.

Coverage from the forum will appear in a pre-election issue of the Walworth Times.
