Donald J. Schulz

Donald J. Schulz, 91, of Green Lake and formerly of East Troy, passed away Feb. 16, 2019, at Prairie Place in Ripon. He was born in Fond du Lac on June 12, 1927, to the late Ervin H. and Irene (Cahill) Schulz.

Don married Alice Melrose on June 11, 1949. For more than 50 years, Don worked for and eventually became a partner in Screws, Inc. in New Berlin.

While living in East Troy, Don was a member of the Land O’Lakes Baseball Team, the East Troy Lions Club, East Troy Softball Association and served on the East Troy School Board.

After moving to Green Lake, he was a member of the Green Lake Ice Yacht Club. Don was also a lifelong fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.

Don leaves behind his children, Nancy (Larry) Dolphin of Austin, Minn., Katherine (John Lien) Schulz of Bruce, Michael (Joanne) Schulz of Plymouth; grandchildren, Amber (Steve Moechnig) Dolphin, Benjamin (Sarah) Dolphin; Colleen Schulz, Brenden (Courtney) Schulz; great-grandchildren, Maya Moechnig; Payton, Lincoln and Asher Dolphin; daughter-in-law, Camille Houle of Racine; step-grandchildren, Megan Houle, Laura (Frank) Griffiths, Andrew (Amy) Houle; step-great-grandchildren, Derek and Kennedy Griffiths; brothers, Ervin Schulz of Poway, Calif., and Leonard Schulz of Big Bend; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; daughter, Ruth Ann Schulz; sister, Ruth Mary; brothers, Ralph and Harvey Schulz; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Mass of Christian Burial for Donald J. Schulz will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1211 W. Main St., in Princeton. Fr. Dale Grubba will officiate

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.

Don will be laid to rest following the service in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Princeton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. Ste. 550 Chicago, IL 60631 are suggested.

The family of Donald J. Schulz would like to thank the staff at Prairie Place in Ripon for the wonderful care given to Don. They would also like to thank Agnesian Hospice Hope of Green Lake and especially Lesley Steffen for the exceptional care they provided.
