Performances this weekend at Big Foot High School

Big Foot High School’s Drama Club has been putting in extra hours in preparation for the presentation of “Little Shop of Horrors.”

Directed and choreographed by Jacob Voigt with music direction by Neal Raskin, the hit musical comedy follows the story of a meek florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on blood.

The school’s production has obtained professional puppets from New York to help tell its tale as the plant grows from being in a small pot to taking up a large portion of the stage.

With a cast led by Jeffrey Martin as florist “Seymour Krelborn” and Molly McEneany as the ingénue “Audrey,” the show also includes students Nathan Birdsall, Tiffany Borger, Madelynn Cascone, Rylie Emmerich, Augustus Foster, Ethan Jackowski, Lacey Klade, Melissa Konkel, Jacob Laing, Faith Long, Anna MacLeod, Jessika Meeker, Hanah Nordmeyer, Abigail Peterson, Matthew Schultz, Maya Torrez and William Volmar.

Also, John McHugh will be operating, and Nicholas Freymiller voicing, the plants.

The opening performance was last night followed by tonight, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and tomorrow, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. in the Big Foot High School Auditorium.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and senior citizens, and will be available at the door.
